Welcome!
Ripon Cricket Club can be found in the picturesque medieval city
of Ripon, North Yorkshire. Its historic ground, pictured above,
is on Studley Road and is idyllically situated in Ripon’s
sporting heartland next to Ripon Rugby Club and close by Ripon
Football Club.
Cricket has been played in Ripon since 1810 and is proud of its
cricket heritage, boasting many players who have gone on to play
cricket at the highest standard,
including our club President, Mr Peter Squires, who played for Yorkshire County
Cricket Club many times. Ripon Cricket Club is one of the oldest clubs in Yorkshire
and has been host to many renowned touring sides over the years, as well as
Yorkshire 2nds who, in the past have played at the ground.
