Welcome!
Ripon Cricket Club can be found in the picturesque medieval city
of Ripon, North Yorkshire. Its historic ground, pictured above,
is just off Studley Road and is idyllically situated in Ripon’s
sporting heartland next to Ripon Rugby Club and close by Ripon
Football Club.
The club was founded in 1810 and is proud of its cricket heritage,
boasting many players who have gone on to play cricket at the highest
standard, including our club President, Mr Peter Squires, who was
capped for Yorkshire Cricket Club many times. Ripon Cricket Club
is one of the oldest clubs in Yorkshire and has been host to many
renowned touring sides over the years, including Yorkshire 2nds
who, in the past, used the club as its home ground.
